Most programs hand people information they forget by the next week. I create something they feel in the room and carry out the door, whether I am training a whole organization, facilitating a coalition, or working with one person at a time.

No one sits and absorbs slides. I create a dynamic, participative experience that taps into the capacity already alive in everyone present, regardless of their title or their history. People engage. They are moved. And they leave with practices they can put to work immediately, not someday.
What happens next is the part organizations remember. A room full of people who can suddenly see the leader in themselves and in each other, who take responsibility for the results they are producing, turn complaints into commitments, and begin creating leaders around them.

One on One
This is one on one coaching for leaders at any stage, from people rebuilding after prison to executives carrying a heavy seat. We work directly on the situations you are living inside right now, and I treat your journey with the highest respect.
The patterns in your history, the ones that serve you and the ones that have cost you, become strengths we use to move you forward with courage. I will not hand you advice. I will help you find the clarity, the plan, and the self-trust that were already yours, and it takes little time to arrive at a vision, a plan of action, and momentum you can feel.

Whether you are working across systems and departments, or bringing teams and coalitions together, I facilitate in a way that brings people together powerfully, includes every voice meaningfully, and drives the group toward solutions in unison.
I bring a leadership lens to facilitation. I recognize the leader in everyone at the table, draw out the wisdom already in the room, and shape the collaboration that has to carry the work forward long after the session ends.

When an organization is ready to invest in the people best positioned to drive change, the Institute develops them together as a cohort. Built by Doug Smith and Michael King, it has grown to fifteen cohorts and more than two hundred graduates across multiple states, with a national alumni network.
